Winifred Humphrey

Winifred "Winnie" Nadine Humphrey, passed away at the Grove Nursing Home in Grove, OK, on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the age of 93. Winnie was born on June 22, 1920 in Enid, OK the daughter of the late Charles Shaffer and Josephine (Hall) Shaffer. Winnie grew up in the Enid area. She moved to Tulsa for several years before marrying Clinton Clyde Humphrey and moving to Monkey Island in the mid 1970's. She worked as a housekeeper at Shangri-La Resort for 29 years retiring in 2003. She enjoyed working in the yard, being on the lake and working at her job, but most of all she loved to be around her family, especially her grandkids. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son Charles Ivan Gragg; one great grandchild Christopher Stark; and one brother Sonny Shaffer. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Hieu Gragg of Monkey Island, OK; grandchildren: Charles Gragg and his wife Stephanie of Fairland, OK, Samme Richter and her husband Gary Smith of Oklahoma City, OK, and Patty Lee and her husband Terry of Weatherford, TX and Sissy Colville and her husband David of Bagdad, AZ and great grandchildren: Joshua Gragg, Matthew Gragg, Crystal Richter, Cody Richter, Nicole Lee, Sean Colville, Jessyca Colville. Great great grandchildren: Jessica, Devin, Bret, C.j. The funeral service will be held at the Lake Center Baptist Church on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10AM with Rev. Kim Hays, presiding. The burial will follow at the Rolston Cemetery on Monkey Island, OK. The family will greet friends from 6PM to 7PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK, Friday, August 23, 2013. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK. Friends and family may leave notes of encouragement by viewing Winnie's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com. Casket bearers will be Charles Gragg, Gary Smith, Shane Weaver, and Henry Dry.
