Wilma Banks

Mrs. Banks was born the daughter of John F. Richardson and Emma (Robbinson) Richardson on July 30, 1922 in Sapulpa, Ok. She was raised and educated in Sapulpa and graduated from Sapulpa High School. Wilma was united in marriage with James D. (J.D.) Banks on October 3. 1941 in Sapulpa, Ok. Mr. Banks was then enlisted in the United States Navy and served during WWII. After his military service J.D. joined Phillips Petroleum Company and the family was posted to many locations in the United States and overseas until they settled in Bartlesville in 1977. Mr. Banks preceded her in death on July 16, 2008. Mrs. Banks was a member of the East Cross United Methodist Church. She enjoyed many activities including, Cooking, sewing, playing bridge and dancing. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Banks was survived by her two children, Pam Knuth and her husband Barry of Bartlesville and Dean Banks and his wife Priscilla of Hilo, Hawaii, four grandchildren, Jeff Banks of Hilo, Hawaii, Shane Banks of Los Angeles, Ca, Kellie Hurd of Wellsville, Ks and Ryan Knuth of Kansas City, Mo., Five Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, one sister and one grand daughter.
