William Childers

William ‘Boo' Joseph Childers, Colcord resident, died at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa on August 8, 2012 at the age of 38 years. Boo was born February 28, 1974 in East St. Louis, Illinois to his parents, John D. and Mabel Fay (Lawson) Childers. After moving to Oklahoma when he was twelve years old, he attended Colcord schools. Boo was a shade tree mechanic who loved being outdoors. His hobbies included fishing, camping, working on cars, grilling, and cooking. He married Rhonda K. Anderson on July 11, 1998 in Colcord. He is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Jimmy Peyton and Billy Childers. Boo leaves many loving memories with his family, wife, Rhonda; son, Jesse Caylan Childers; daughters, Sadie Dawn Childers and Ieshia Chae Childers; brother, John William Childers; sisters, Linda Bales, Betty Cardwell, Theresa Voshell, Frances Hughell; a grandson on the way, Jayson William Childers; as well as many other loving family members and numerous friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday evening at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Larry Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Rodney Mouse, Jimmy Cremer, Jason Williamson, Doug Beck, GeorgeAnn Barker, and Sonny Jones. Honorary bearers will be Dusty Voshell and Mary Hass.
