Virginia Straw

Virginia Katherine "Moe" Straw, died late Tuesday evening September 21, 2010 at Rosewood Terrace in Vinita. She was born January 28, 1930 in Anderson, Missouri to Milburne and Nancy Katherine (Cheatham) Minars. Virginia was married to Tommy Joe Straw on June 7, 1962 in Miami; he preceded her in death on December 2, 1993. She worked as a waitress for many years, including 20 years at the Grand Café, the Hotel Vinita Coffee Shop, the Glass House when it was Host and Howard Johnson's. Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vinita. The family includes: a son, Danny Straw and wife Danna of Vinita, two granddaughters, Becca and Gracie Straw; two brothers, Edward Minars of Arlington, Texas, Charles Minars and wife Jane of Sedalia, Missouri; two sisters, Helen Woodall and husband Pud of Vinita, Irene VanWinkle and husband Richard of Neosho. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and a brother Clyde Minars. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday evening, September 23, 2010 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held, Friday September 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery of Vinita.
