Virginia Fair

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita (918)256-5555 Virginia Louise Fair, 92 year old long time Vinita-Centralia are resident, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born on August 5, 1924 in Drummond, Oklahoma to Lester and Eva Louise (Worthington) Swart. Virginia attended school in Enid, she married Alfred E. Fair on August 11, 1945 in Enid. He preceded her in death in 1976. Virginia worked at a dry cleaners, Garrett's Cafeteria and C. R. Anthony's in Coffeyville, along with being a mother and housewife. She was a member of the Vinita Church of the Nazarene, Centralia Homemakers Club and the Vinita Senior Citizens. Virginia enjoyed beading, watching all kinds of sports especially baseball and the Dallas Cowboys football team. She had been living in Claremore the past few years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Ron Fair in 2009, and a sister, Arline Hites. The family includes her children: Ruth Garrett and husband Dewayne of Huachuca City, AZ, Lester Fair and wife Nelda of Tulsa, Beverly Galyean and husband Charles of Greenville, TX, Judy McDougall and husband Larry of Claremore; two sisters, Judy DeMarcus of Enid and Joy Postelwaite of Collinsville, a brother, Lonnie Williams of Collinsville; twelve grandchildren, thirty seven great-grandchildren and eight-great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
