Vera Horn

Vera M. Horn, age 72, resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on Friday, February 10, 2012. Vera Mae Clevenger was born on April 11, 1939 in Oakley, Kansas. She was the daughter of Herbert Hadley Clevenger and Lucetta Susan (Whitaker) Clevenger. She received her formal education in the Missouri school system. Mrs. Horn was a certified health aid worker and during her lifetime, worked for several private individuals. She regularly attended Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with her hands through cake decorating, flower making, and other crafts. She always enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. Survivors include her son, Daniel Horn and his wife, Christine, of Verdon, North Carolina; daughters, Carol Horn of Bartlesville, and Dr. Frances Horn also of Bartlesville; two grandchildren, Andrew and Rachel; two sisters, Donna Fraizer of Rayville, Missouri and Lois Wheeler of Atchison, Kansas; and one brother, Herbert James Clevenger of Almo, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Pansy Lou Clevenger. Visitation for Mrs. Horn will be held from 5-7 PM on Sunday, February 12, in the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave., Bartlesville. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, at 2:00 PM, in the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church, 5111 Nowata Rd. Following the service, she will be removed to the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, Iowa. A graveside and committal service will be held at the Edwards Cemetery in Oakville, Iowa.
