Tony Addington

Tony Gene Addington, 68 years old, passed away Friday August 31, 2012. Tony was born on April 8, 1944 in Jay, Oklahoma to Houston and Thelma (Earp) Addington. He was a graduate of Jay High School. Tony served in the United States Army from 1966 - 1968. During his service time, he made 30 plane jumps and 3 helicopter jumps. He was involved in the company that went to Detroit for the race riot in 1968 for one week. Tony also served in the Army Reserves until 1972. Tony married Carolyn Cartwright on February 2, 1968 in Jay, OK. He enjoyed golfing and hunting. Tony loved to deer hunt with his brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Thelma Addington, and one brother Harland Addington. Tony is survived by his wife Carolyn of the home; one son Eldon of Tulsa, OK; two daughters, Gina and Barry Keane and Deborah and David Corley both of Broken Arrow, OK; three brothers, Garland Addington of Tulsa, OK, Larry Addington of Catoosa, OK, and Kline Addington of Yukon, OK; one sister, Leta Martin of Bluejacket, OK; and three grandchildren, Zachary, McKenzie, and Aiden. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Faith Mission Church in Jay, OK. The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, September 3, 2012 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK.
