Thelma Walker

Thelma Ruth Walker, 75, a resident of Vinita passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in Claremore, OK at Wood Manor. She was born on August 22, 1930 in Kingfisher, OK to Harold and Hazel (Mattie) Wallace. She was married to her husband Jess O. Walker for over fifty years, he precedes her in death. Mrs. Walker was a member of the Four Corners Church of Christ; She was an inspector for Cinch and retired with twenty plus years in 1996. When she would come home from work she went out to work in the family body shop, she loved to sew and quilting and a favorite of hers was to play pool with her family. Mrs. Walker is preceded in death by her parents Harold and Hazel Wallace, her husband Jess O. Walker and sister Ida Mae Long. Survivors include her children Linda Neill and her husband Ron of Vinita, Ed Walker and his wife Kathy of Cardin, OK, two brothers James Wallace and his wife Frances of Vinita, Paul Wallace and his wife Judy of Welch, a sister Edith Cox and her husband Roy of North Port, AL, seven grandchildren Jesse Shook, Brad Walker, Bryan Walker, Angie Miles, Jason Neill, Tyge Ferrier, Cade Harris and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 10:00 AM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita Reverend Mark Bright and Reverend Harold Neal officiating. Interment will follow in the Welch Cemetery in Welch, OK under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Casketbearers will be Jesse Shook, Jason Neill, Brad Walker, Tyge Ferrier, Bryan Walker and Cade Harris.
