Teresa Greer

Grove, OK - Teresa Ann Greer, 53, ended her valiant battle with cancer Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Integris Grove General Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma. Teresa was born August 27, 1952 at Florence, South Carolina to Harley D. Cunningham and Miriam (Goodson) Cunningham. She grew up in Darlington and Sumter, South Carolina and later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she started high school. Teresa moved to Grove, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school and lived until 1985. She married Fred C. Greer on September 15, 1979 at Miami, Oklahoma. The Greers moved back to the East Coast and returned to Grove three years ago. While growing up in Darlington, Teresa attended the First Baptist Chruch, there. During high school, she was elected Yearbook Queen and was active in choir. Teresa was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who loved seashells and was a dedicated homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Fred of the home; two daughters, Cacey Newell & her husband, Jonny of Wichita, Kansas, and Angela E. Greer of Grove; one son, Brian J. Greer & his spouse, Krystal Faircloth of Grove; one brother, Donald Cunningham of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Linda Cunningham of Charlotte, North Carolina, Susan Cunningham and Cherie Mathews, both of Waldorf, Maryland; and three grandchildren Breanna E. Greer and Gracie A. Greer of Grove and Julie A. Greer of Little River, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Monday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove and a graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in Butler Cemetery, southeast of Grove, Oklahoma.
