Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma --- 9128-273-2700 Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Wann Community Center with Pastor Justin McKee officiating. Interment will follow at Wann Cemetery. Family will be receiving friends Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Ted Leon King, 76-year-old Lenapah resident and lifetime Nowata County resident passed away at The Journey Home Hospice House in Bartlesville, Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was born September 23, 1940 in Wann, Oklahoma to Vic and Blanche (Davis) King. Ted graduated from Wann High School and served his country from December of 1963 to December of 1965 in the United States Army. He married Margaret Raye Reedy and they had four children together. He loved to rodeo and was an excellent bulldogger. Ted was a member of the PRCA, IRA, URA and ACRA, all rodeo associations. He and his brother Jerry were co-owners of the King Rodeo Company. Ted loved the rodeo circuit and the friends he was able meet. He loved working but above all he loved his family. Ted will be missed by all who knew him. Ted is survived by three children, Audre Marie King, James Ted King and wife Shelia Lynne, Josh Ray King and his wife Cathy and eight grandchildren, Brody James King, Chelsea Marie Molskness, Taylor Lee Benson, Jordan Raye Benson, Tristan Robert Allen Davis, Caden Nicholas Davis, Ace Ray King, Jace Dewayne King. Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Vic and Blanche King: a son, William Joseph King, and his siblings, Clyde King, Jack King, Junior King, Dewayne King, Jerry King, Grace Hendrickson, Elizabeth Keys, Claudine Bailey, Doris Thompson.
