Sherry Lynn (King) Crittenden, 50, of Nowata, Oklahoma and former Miami, Oklahoma resident, passed away Tuesday evening, September 29, 2020 at Ascension Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She went to be with Jesus surrounded by her children, parents and siblings.

She was born January 15, 1970 in Carrizozo, New Mexico, the daughter of Glenn King Jr. and Stella (Powers) King. Sherry graduated from Miami High School in 1988. Sherry was a “straight A” student, earning a spot to represent MHS at Girls State. She was also awarded a full scholarship to college.

She worked in the manufacturing business for the majority of her life. Sherry enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing, and being outdoors. She took the most pride in her children, Zaine and Carley. Reveling in all of their accomplishments. Sherry’s pride and love for her children could only be paralleled by her love for her grandchildren. She loved hosting family dinners and spending time with the grandkids. She was a doting Nana.

Sherry is survived by her Fiancé, Dennis Storment of the home, parents; Glenn and Stella King, children; Zaine Gibson and his wife Sarah, of Miami, OK, Carley Gibson of Vinita, OK, three siblings; Sandy Wells, Kelly Cornog, Glenn King III, and nine grandchildren; Atreyu, Presley, Sunnie and Audie Mae Gibson, Ayden and Brayelin Vaught, Zyelan Gibson, Kensley and Kayden Storment and a host of other family. To know Sherry was to love her.

The family is hosting a “come and go” lunch in her memory, Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Paul Thomas Family Center, from 2 – 5 pm, located on North Main Street in Miami. There will be a private family graveside service on Monday. Please join Sherry’s family in remembering her with love on Saturday. All are welcome
