Sequoya Flechs

Sequoya Flechs, age 51, died Tuesday October 13, 2009 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Miami, OK. He was born October 10, 1958 in Galveston, Texas the son of W.D. Flechs and Betty V. Davis Flechs. He finished high school in Nebraska and moved to Oklahoma in the mid eighty's and attended OSU Okmulgee earning a degree in Computers. He and Dixie Dameron were married on December 10, 1994 in Muskogee, OK and they made their home in the Strang and Spavinaw area and attended Ribbon Church and Spavinaw Hills House of Worship. He worked with the Quapaw Tribe as a computer specialist for several years and enjoyed carpentry. He loved his G.I Joe collection, the family pets, working on computers and singing at Church functions. Survivors include his wife Dixie of the home, three children, Bear Flechs of Vinita, Nikki Hughes of Vinita, John Flechs of Fort Lewis, Washington, nine grandchildren one aunt, Genice Honaw of Spavinaw, OK and many cousins. A memorial service will be Monday October 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Ribbon Church with Rev. Russell Feeling officiating under the direction of Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home.
