Selma Sparkman

Selma Ruth Sparkman, age 85, a resident of Bartlesville, died Friday August 13, 2010 at Jane Phillips Medical Center. Mrs. Sparkman was born March 23, 1925 the daughter of Elmer Lord and Nancy Seals Lord. On November 4, 1979 she was united in marriage with Alvin Sparkman. Selma worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for many years before retiring. Mrs. Sparkman is survived by her husband Alvin Sparkman of the home, one brother John Lord and his wife Linda of Alluwe, Ok and one sister Hazel Joyce Tynes of Midland, Tx. She is preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Nancy Lord, three sisters, her twin sister Velma Russell, Marie Harris and Patsy Henry and one brother Bud Lord. Funeral services for Mrs. Sparkman will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in the Dewey First United Methodist Church, Rev. Rick Robart will Officiate. Burial will follow in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
