Rubye Stalnaker

Rubye E. Stalnaker, 94, formerly of Republic, Missouri died at 1:31 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2009 at Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Oklahoma. Rubye was born January 16, 1915 in Smithville, Mississippi to Tap X. and Evie (Hadaway) Parham. She attended schools in Smithville. On July 4, 1933, she married Louis Herbert Stalnaker in Smithville, Mississippi. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1986. One brother and one granddaughter also preceded her in death. Survivors include her son and his wife, Bob and Joan Stalnaker of Republic, Missouri; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. A graveside service will be Monday, March 16, 2009 at 12:00 p.m., at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
