Roy O'Dell

Roy O'Dell, 60 year old Grove resident, passed away Friday August 31, 2012 with his family by his side. Roy was born on January 3, 1952 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Erma Lee (Morgan) O'Dell. He graduated from Stigler High School in 1970 and from East Central University in 1974. Roy married Ellen Faye (Rust) on June 7, 1974 in Whitefield, OK. He served in the United States Air Force. Roy worked as Health Inspector in Delaware County for 21 years and had just recently retired. He liked to play golf, go antiquing and play with his grandchildren. Roy was a member of C.O.S. church in Grove, OK. He is preceded in death by his father Robert, and sister, Doreen Forrester. Roy is survived by his wife Ellen of the home; his mother, Erma Monks and husband, Carl of Grove, OK; two daughters, Jennifer Brodrick, and husband Jeremy and Bekkie Kirkwood and husband Levi, both of Grove, OK; and five grandchildren, Tristen, Taryn, Tucker, Trey, and Tatum. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 6:00 pm at C.O.S. church in Grove, OK. Services are entrusted to Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove.
