Robert Maples

Robert Eugene "Doc" Maples Robert E. Maples age 70, of Jay, OK died Saturday May 22, 2010 in the Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, OK. The son of Austin and Glastia (Conduff) Maples, he was born on November 16, 1939 in Foyl, OK. A lifetime resident of Jay and Delaware County, Robert loved to visit with people and help when he could. When he was younger, he worked at a trailer plant building trailers, he also took care of chickens for other people. He worked for Jim Earp in his later years. Surviving is: his sister Ruby Newby of Spavinaw, his extended family Jim Earp, Janie Earp and their children, also nieces and nephews. Preceding in death were his parents two sisters and a brother. The funeral will be at 2 PM on Wednesday May 26, 2010 at the Immanuel Baptist Church near Jay, OK. Officiating are Toby Sperry and Jim Alexander. The burial will be in the Duffield Cemetery. There will be a visitation for family and friends between six and 8 pm on Tuesday May 25, 2010. The services are under the directons of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK.
