Ricky Heard

Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555 ----- Ricky Gerald "Bud" Heard, 61 year old life-long area resident of White Oak, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Tulsa. He was born on December 20, 1952, in Vinita, Oklahoma to Ralph Warren Heard and Louise (Rame) Heard. Bud was a 1971 graduate of White Oak High School. He had worked many years with Boyd's plumbing in Vinita. He enjoyed playing pool, game chickens, fishing and especially being with his daughter and grandchildren. Bud was of the Baptist faith. Preceding him in death were: his son Joshua in 1988, his parents, and a brother, Walter Paul Heard. The family includes: his daughter, Amy Gates and husband Joey of Vinita, Patrick Lavergne and wife Sherri of Barnsdall; brothers, Ronnie and Tom Heard; sisters, Janis Nall and Brenda Heard all of White Oak; grandchildren, Austin Haire, Alex Nicole Gates, Somer and Buddy Lavergne. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m., Sunday September 28, 2014 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held Monday, at 10:00 a.m., September 29, 2014 at the White Oak Baptist Church, with Rev. George Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow at the White Oak Cemetery.
