Richard Chisholm

Mr. Richard Glenn Chisholm, 75, of Jay, OK, departed this life on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at the Grove Nursing Center after a long illness. Richard entered this life on December 30, 1937 in Vernon, TX, one of ten children born to the late Homer and Claudia (Danials) Chisholm. He was raised in Vernon, TX where he attended Vernon High School. Richard served his country honorably in the United States Army. After the service on November 15, 1958, he was united in marriage to IllaMae Seabourn and to this union two daughters were born. In 1978 they moved their family to Jay, OK. Richard was a rancher and owner of Chisholm's TV & Appliance, and a number of other businesses. He enjoyed his airplane and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Albert Chisholm, Willie Chisholm, Howard Chisholm, and two sisters Lucille Smith, and Marie Fennell. He is survived by his wife of 54 years IllaMae of the home; two daughters: Vickie Lynn Chisholm of Surprise, AZ and Kathleen Diane Scott and her husband Doug of Jay, OK; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers: James Chisholm and wife, Bobby Chisholm and wife, and Lonnie Chisholm and wife; sister Linda Vanek and husband; and a host of other relatives and friends. Per Richard's request there will be no services held. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK.
