Richard Brooks

Luginbuel Funeral Home Vinita, 918-256-5555………..Richard Paul Brooks passed away September 12, 2017 at St. John Hospital Tulsa. He was born in Laredo, Texas on March 01, 1965 the son of Roy C. Brooks and Donna L. (Burns) Brooks. Richard's family moved to Catoosa, Oklahoma where he attended and graduated school. He joined the US Army and served his country for eight years. Richard met and married Sherri Brown in 2002. He became a cross country truck driver and retrained as HVAC serviceman. They relocated to Big Cabin in 1993. Richard enjoyed scuba diving and sky diving as a young man. He especially enjoyed family time and spending countless hours with his step-son Elias. Richard choose to give the gift of life to others by being an organ donor. Richard was preceded in death by his grandparents and wife Sherrie Brown. He is survived by his mother and father, stepson Elias Brown of Oklahoma City and sister Patti Pearsall of Broken Arrow. Richard's graveside service will be held Monday September 18, 2017 10:00 am at the Big Cabin Cemetery in Big Cabin, Oklahoma. Arrangement are by Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
