Rena Mae "Mom O" Grant Funeral services for Rena Mae Grant will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 9, 2007, at the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Home, of Nowata. Rena Mae "Mom O" Grant was born July 20, 1913, in Watova, Oklahoma, to Claude L. and Maude B. (Sigler) Zink. She passed from this life in Bartlesville, Monday, February 5, 2007 after reaching 93 years old. She attended Nowata schools graduating in 1933.On December 29, 1934 she married Joe Grant in Nowata. Most of her life was spent in the Nowata area except for 1957-1963, when she lived in Copan. "Mom O" as everyone knew her, worked as a sales clerk at Clark's Hardware Store. She liked to crochet and knit, but she is most remembered for her cooking. Oatmeal cookies were her specialty but sugar cookies and bread was also a treat. She was a member of the Hillside Christian Church and the Pretty Punch Club. Proceeding Mrs. Grant in death are her parents, Claude and Maude Zink; husband, Joe Grant; son Jimmie Joe Grant; and brother, Gene "Fat" Zink. Surviving Mrs. Grant are daughters Ruby Helen May, of Bartlesville, April Watkins, and husband Jimmy, of Copan; Daughter-in-Law, Judy Grant, of Nowata; grandchildren, Ron May, Jeri McElhaney, JoAnn Spradling, Kim Camacho, Jamey Watkins; 10 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; 1 step great-great grandchild; many other family and a host of friends. The family suggests donations to the 10-33 Ambulance service, 321 E. Cherokee, Nowata, Oklahoma 74048
