Raymond Crockett

Raymond R. Crockett, 79 year old Vinita resident, passed away early Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Heartsworth Nursing Center. He was born on January 6, 1938 in Vinita to Tommy Gibbons Crockett and Hattie May (Curry) Crockett. Raymond married Goldie Allen on October 4, 1957 in Jenks, Oklahoma. He worked on many ranches in the Pawhuska/Foraker/Osage County areas, lastly working for the Barros Ranch. Raymond and Goldie had lived and worked in Osage County for many years, also for a time in Missouri, until moving back to Vinita in 2002. He loved ranching, working cattle and horse racing. Preceding him in death were his parents and a great-grandchild. The family includes: his wife Goldie of the home; children, Rodney Crockett of Stella, Missouri, Debra Angel and husband Bill of Columbus, Kansas, Richard Crockett of Catoosa, Randall Crockett of Vinita; his sister, Deetta Montgomery and husband Dennis of Vinita, a brother, Tommy Crockett and wife Norma of Disney; sister in-law Arlene Cleveland of Peoria, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bob Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Williams Timberhill Cemetery.
