Phillip Bowles

JAY - Phillip Ray Bowles, age 64, went to be with the Lord November 28, 2007 at St. Mary Rogers Memorial Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. Phillip was born on February 22, 1943 to Byron and Ida (Durham) Bowles in Maysville, Oklahoma. He graduated from Jay High School, and received a Masters degree. He married Reda Goins in 1973. Phillip worked in education as a teacher, principal and superintendent. He enjoyed teaching and being with kids he liked to play the guitar and loved spending time with his family Survivors include his wife Reda Bowles of the home, two sons Ken Bowles of West Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Billy Jack Bowles and his wife Lisa of Eljon, California, two grandchildren Zack and Jonathan Bowles, two brothers Paul Bowles of Maysville, Arkansas and James Bowles of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Phillip was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church in Jay, Oklahoma with Reverend Bill Goldner officiating.
