Perry Joe Lane, 67, of Eucha, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in his home on September 28th, 2023.
Perry was born on August 19th, 1956 to Pete and Nina Lane in Pryor, Oklahoma. At the age of 15 Perry fell in love with Brenda Cagle of Spavinaw, Oklahoma and on August 23rd, 1973 they were married. Perry and Brenda went on to have 3 children, Will, Brian, and Cassie. Perry was an incredibly devoted father, as well as grandfather to Ryan, Lexi, Bri, Charlee, Andlee, Thatcher, Hudson, Penny, Eilee, Tate, Granger, and Perri. Perry’s biggest happiness was his family. Perry and Brenda have spent the last 50 years building a beautiful life together.
Perry had several occupations but he was best known for working for the Union Pacific Railroad, where he retired from after 37 years. In 2017, Perry decided to dust off his old tire shop hat from his youth and open his own store with his son, Brian. Perry always found great joy in watching Eucha Tire & Feed grow and the community that it built. In fact, from the day that Perry was diagnosed as terminal up until his last days, he constantly talked about the feed store and his customers. He loved Eucha Tire & Feed very much and even battling brain cancer, Perry still wanted to go to the store every day. He loved the community and often spoke about his dreams to continue to bless it. Those who knew Perry will tell you how consistently kind and giving he was. They will tell you that he always greeted people with a smile and that he loved children. Perry made a point to keep candy on hand in his store so that he could welcome kids with a little treat.
When Perry wasn’t at Eucha Tire & Feed, he could be found working around the farm, watching rodeos on television, and traveling to livestock shows to watch his grandchildren show their animals. Perry really enjoyed watching rodeos and cattle shows. Perry and Brenda have spent the past 35 years traveling the country to watch their children and grandchildren show livestock. They made many wonderful memories as a family. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, customers, and the community.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Nina; his brother, Charley; his mother in law, Louise; and his daughter in law, Tamara. Perry is survived by his wife, Brenda; his children, Will, Jennifer, Brian, Callee, Cassie, and Doug; his grandchildren, Ryan, Lexi, Bri, Charlee, Andlee, Thatcher, Hudson, Penny, Eilee, Tate, Granger, and Perri; his father in law, Claud; as well as his siblings Linda, Lana, Clara, and Kay.
