Peggy Lucile Hodges, Grove resident, died early Tuesday June 4, 2013 in Grove at the age of 83 years. She was born September 16, 1929 in Wichita, KS to her parents, Floyd Nixon and Peggy (Sandford) Nixon. Peggy married the love of her life Donald Hodges on January 5, 1947 in Liberal, KS. They celebrated 63 years of marriage until Don's passing on October 24, 2010. Peggy enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and playing keno, bridge, and computer games. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; daughter, Diana K. McBryde; grandson, James D. Mosburg; daughter-in-law, Vivian Hodges. Peggy leaves many loving memories with her family, son Terry Hodges; daughter, Cheri Mosher and husband Vince; several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 PM -8:00 PM Thursday evening June 6, 2013 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday June 7, 2013 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Ben Hynum officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or a charity of your choice in Peggy's name. Services are entrusted to Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove.
