Peggy Foote

Peggy Dean Foote, passed away on August 10, 2020 in Grove, OK.  Peggy was born on March 15, 1927 in Chickasha, OK.  She brought her parents Moody and Clara (Whisler) Bacon so much joy.

Peggy attended schools in Craig County, OK.  She would make it known that she moved to Vinita in a covered wagon which is still to this day on her land. Peggy worked for many years as a nurse at Eastern State Hospital until she retired.  She was of the Christian faith and would worship at the Church on the Lake in Ketchum, OK.  Peggy enjoyed flowers of all kinds, was an avid bird watcher, loved reading western books and was known as an excellent cook it is said that her gravy is the best in Oklahoma.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Moody and Clara Bacon, husband, Bill Foote and daughter, Sandy Gaines.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Lonnie Dunn of Vinita, OK, Buddy Dunn of Sand Springs, OK, Larry Dunn and wife Denise of Jay, OK; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren along with many other relatives, friends and loved ones.

Graveside funeral service for Peggy will be held on Friday August 14, 2020 at the Carselowey Cemetery at 1:00 PM with a visitation being held on Thursday August 13, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, OK.
