Paul Vestal

Paul Edward Vestal, Sr., age 81, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma September 11, 1928 left this earth to be with his Savior March 31, 2010. A long-time Tulsa attorney, Paul most recently served as the Grove City Prosecutor where he lived for the past 15 years. He graduated from Union Consolidated School in 1946 and the University of Tulsa School of Law in 1968. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara Ann Vestal of Grove, OK; brother Jim Vestal and wife Janet of Tahlequah, OK; son, Paul "Ed" Vestal, Jr. and wife Diana of Tulsa, OK; daughter Shery Kerr, and husband Breene of Blue Hill, ME; daughter Denice Chubin and husband Howard of Grandview, MO; son, Mark Vestal and wife Linda of Owasso, OK; daughter Kelli James, and husband Bob of Tulsa, OK; son Jay Wilson and wife Lisa of Telluride, CO; 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Paul touched so many lives. He never met a person that he didn't ask if they knew Jesus. When spreading the word of God, Paul often presented $2 bills, and later, $1 gold coins to strangers and friends alike. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or Gideon's International. The Celebration of Paul's life will be held at the Grove Civic Center on Monday, April 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Honorary Pall Bearers will be members of the Tulsa, Delaware and Ottawa County Bar Associations.
