Patrica Morgan

Patricia (Jane)Morgan, age 62, a lifetime resident of the Vinita - Big Cabin area died Friday March 20, 2009. She was born October 14, 1946 in Big Cabin the daughter of Jack Shepherd and Sue Griffith Shepherd. Jane was raised and attended school in Big Cabin graduating high school in 1965. Upon graduation she attended the Bartlesville School of Cosmetology and began working at a shop in Bartlesville then at New Beginning and Fred York's Style Shop in Vinita. Jane and Dave Morgan were united in marriage on September 29, 1970 and together raised two daughters. Jane began a career with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority that lasted nearly twenty five years as a toll booth attendant. She was a member at Cowboy Junction Church and enjoyed riding horses and Rodeo's creating and working in her flower gardens and most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Jane leaves behind two daughters; Brandy "Peggy" Hayes and husband Mike of Wagoner, OK, Stephanie and Troy Messick of Vinita, her friend and companion, David Oakley of Afton, OK, her mother, Sue Shepherd of Bartlesville, OK, two brothers and sisters in law, David and Billie Shepherd and Clyde and Terri Shepherd both of Bartlesville, OK, six grandchildren, Haley Hayes, Tanner Messick, McKayla Messick, Trace Messick, Cole and Dana Messick. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 25, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Cowboy Junction with Pastor Wade Markham officiating with interment to follow in Big Cabin Cemetery under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a, m. until 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 24.
