Oneta Christine "Chris" Kenney, age 71, died November 18, 2007 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Chris was born on January 9, 1936 in Topsy, Oklahoma to Joe and Melvina (Robertson) Martin. She lived in the Jay area for most of her life. She attended and graduated from Jay High School in 1953. She married Curtis Kenney who preceded her in death in December of 1998. Mrs. Kenney worked for the Delaware County Treasure's office for twelve years, owned and operated the Kenney's TV & Furniture store in Langley, and also worked for the Delaware County Bank. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Chris enjoyed singing in trios with her father and cousins. She also enjoyed word puzzles, reading, playing Yahtzee, and bowling. Oneta is survived by her children, Jody Kenney of Springfield, Missouri, Sandra Todd and her husband Mike of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Stephanie Kenny of Jay, Oklahoma and Pamela Davis and her husband Jon of Springdale, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, Curtis Kenney, Colton Kenney, Rebecca Kenney, Jonathon Griffith, Azalee Todd, Kaitlyn Davis, J.C. Davis and Tyler Madison, Benjamin Griffith, Felicia Griffith, Brent Todd, three Great-grandchildren, and four brothers and one sister, Calvin Martin of Richardson, Texas, Treva Martin, Bob Martin, Arnold Martin all of Jay, Oklahoma, and Gary Martin of Edmond, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 23, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church in Jay, Oklahoma with Reverend Bill Goldner officiating. Serving at casket bearers will be Curtis Kenney, Colton Kenney, Mike Todd, Johnathan Griffith, Ray Green and Stan Martin. Serving as honorary casket bearers will be J.C. Davis and Tyler Madison. Interment will immediately follow at Mose Ridge Cemetery, Topsy, Oklahoma. Friends and family may leave online condolences by viewing obituary at www.honoringmemories.com. Services have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
