Nora Sapp

Jay, Ok. -Nora Sapp, 71, died Friday, July 21, 2006 at the Tahlequah City Hospital. Nora Sapp was born January 29, 1935 in Colcord, Oklahoma to Henry and Sarah (Downing) Smith. She married Sam Sapp on December 31, 1981 at the Steeley Church. Nora spent her life as a wife, mother and homemaker. She loved to sew, cook, and listen to gospel music. She was preceded in death by two daughters, JoAnne Lyman and Synora Sapp, one son-in-law, Hider Foreman, as well as a granddaughter, Kayla Blackbear. Survivors include her husband, Sam, of the home; four daughters, Barbara and husband Jess Jumper of Jay, OK; Brenda and husband Bodie Jumper of Salina, OK; Maudie Foreman of Colcord, OK; JoAnn Tagg of the home; her son, Bob Blackbear of Salina, OK; her sister Betty Mouse of Spavinaw, OK, and her aunt Maude Bowers. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Special friend Linda Jumper, and niece Velma Tagg. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Steely Baptist Church with Richard Soldier and Stanley Grass officiating. Burial will follow at Steeley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home in Jay. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
