Mona Cupp

September 9, 1950 — June 16, 2009

On September 9, 1950 in Shamrock, TX, the Lord blessed Bill and Laura Cupp and their sons with a beautiful pink cheeked baby girl. Her name was Mona Paulette Cupp but was affectionately known as Paula. Paula passed away peacefully in her home on June 16, 2009. Paula was full of love and was special in every way, but also had very special needs. As a result of those special needs, Paula and her parents were instrumental in funding for Special Education Classes in Vinita, OK school district. Through the dedication and love for their child, Paula's father and mother persevered to help establish and create Home of Hope. Paula then became the first resident of Home of Hope in October of 1968. Many others would follow as a result of the actions of Bill and Laura Cupp. As time passed and Home of Hope grew, Paula moved into her own home with the help of the Home of Hope Assisted Living Program. Her achievements line the walls of her home in Vinita, from Special Olympics Awards to becoming a valuable member of many workforce situations. She enjoyed bowling, basketball, swimming, and singing with the group High Hopes. Paula, her family and extended family at Home of Hope are truly a force to be admired and respected for the accomplishments and achievements she attained. Paula has now traveled on to be with our Lord and her predecessors: Her father: Bill Cupp of Vinita, OK Brother: John Cupp of Fulton, MO Grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. A. H.
