Michael Whitford

Michael L. Whitford, 58 year old lifetime Nowata resident passed away at his home in Nowata, Monday, March 18, 2013. He was born in Nowata May 25, 1954, to William Charles and Joan (Cook) Whitford. In 1972 he graduated from Nowata High School and then continued his education at Oklahoma State University. In 1985, he married Paula Rosebeary in Nowata. He worked as a residential, industrial, and commercial plumber for many years. Mike was a member of the United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing golf, fishing, doing things outside, and cooking out with his friends. Preceding Michael in death is his father, William Charles Whitford. Survivors include his mother Joan Whitford, of Nowata, his wife Paula, daughter Ashley Jones, 2 step daughters Kerrie and Kellie Rhodes, grandchildren Jordan and Asiah Jones, Matthew Robinson, Jessica Cress, Quinton Wilson, Ashlyn Dickins, Lilly Dickins, and two brothers, John Whitford and wife Julie, of Claremore, Bill Whitford and wife Jan, of Nowata, many other relatives as well as a whole host of friends. Graveside funeral services for Michael Whitford will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Nowata, Oklahoma.
