Mary Rosell

Mary Lue Rosell, passed away at the Integris Grove Hospital in Grove, OK, on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the age of 82. Mary was born January 31, 1931 in Springdale, AR, the daughter of the late Floyd Paul Davis and Mary Pearl (Hodges) Davis. Mary Lue moved to Jay from Arkansas with her mother and two sisters following the death of her father in 1939. She was valedictorian of the Jay High School graduating class of 1949. She and her family were among the original members of the Jay Bible Church. During her lifetime, Mary Lue worked for the Delaware County Bank, then as a legal secretary for L.K. Smith Law Office in Jay, followed by 10 years with ConocoPhillips in Bartlesville, OK. She retired from ConocoPhillips in 1992. Following her retirement, she returned to work for L.K. Smith Law Offices in Jay specializing in real estate contracts. Mary Lue also served as a former Worthy Matron of the Jay Chapter of the Masonic Eastern Star and was an active member of the Jay Garden Club for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters Virginia Crank and Jean Collier. She is survived by her son John Rosell and his wife Annette of Claremore, OK; daughter Elaine Winfield and her husband Joe of Jay, OK; son Dee Rosell and his wife Bonnie of Tulsa, OK; son Mike Rosell of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at the Jay Bible Church on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Terry Wofford and Rev. John Crowley, presiding. The burial will follow at the Burkshed Cemetery in Washington County, AR at 2:30 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6PM to 8PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK on Thursday, May 23, 2013. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK. Friends and family may leave notes of encouragement by viewing Mary Lue's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com. Honorary casket bearers will be Jeff Lindly, Sonny Hodges, Nick Rosell, Chad Crank, Roger Renner, Austin Pepper, and Chris Pruitt.
