Mary Louise Voetelink, 84, a resident of Bartlesville died Monday August 7, 2006 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. Mary Louise von Marenholtz was born February 15, 1922 to Walter P. and Lucy Ann (Melton) von Marenholtz in Parma, Idaho. She attended elementary school in Middleton, Idaho. In 1930, the family moved to Dieckhorst-Mueden, Germany, when her father inherited the family baronial estate. She continued her elementary school there and attended Kaiserin Victoria School in Celle, Germany, for her secondary school training. On March 30, 1944, she married Gustaaf Voetelink in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where they made their home until 1948. They moved to the United States, and settled in Bartlesville, where Mr. Voetelink was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company. When he became Phillips European Technical Representative, they moved to Lausanne, Switzerland, and lived there for the next ten years. In 1964, Mr. Voetelink was employed by Price Pipeline Company. They moved to Teheran, Iran, and lived there for the next ten years. Upon his retirement, the couple returned to Bartlesville to their permanent home. Mary was fluent in four languages, and had done considerable traveling worldwide with her husband on business and pleasure trips. She and Gus had been married 59 years when he passed away in 2003. She is survived by a sister Mildred Irene Walton of Clatskanie, Oregon, and a brother Robert D. von Marenholtz of Silverdale, Washington, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, a brother Walter Melton von Marenholtz, and a sister Lucy Iris Phillips preceded her in death. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2006 at the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Reverend CB Colaw of the First Wesleyan Church of Bartlesville, Ok. will preside over the services. A family celebration of Mary's remarkable life, was held during the family reunion on 12 August 2006 at River Run Farm in Clatskanie, Oregon. Trees were planted in memory of both she and Gus.
