Mary Isabel Hindman Mary Isabel Hindman was born June 11, 1926, at Duke Center, Pennsylvania, to John and Gladys (James) Hifler. She died Monday, October 30, 2006 at her home in Bartlesville, after reaching 80 years, 6 months, and 19 days. She attended school in Buffalo, New York, moved to Nowata at age 10, and graduated from Nowata High School. On December 29, 1950, she married Joseph D. Hindman, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They traveled while working with Phillips Petroleum, and settled in Bartlesville in 1978. She was a member of the Tole Painting Club, in Denver, Colorado, and the Miniatures Club, in Bartlesville. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and working with ceramics. Preceding Mrs. Hindman in death are her parents, brother, William Hifler and infant sister Jeanne Marie Hifler. Surviving Mrs. Hindman are her husband Joe, of the home in Bartlesville, sons, Richard Hindman, and wife Deborah, of Calvert Texas, James Hindman, of Phoenix, Arizona, grandson, Joseph Ryan Hindman, and wife Kelli, granddaughter, Devin Christine Malaise, and husband Chuck, great grandson, Hayden Marshal Malaise, sisters, Marjorie Sitz, and husband Otto, of Nowata, Anne Barnes, brother Robert Hifler, and many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
