Funeral services for Mary Ella Gingerich are 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2013 at the First Church of God, of Nowata, with Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials in Mary's name may be made to the First Church of God at 408 South Pine, Nowata OK 74048. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com. Mary Ella Gingerich, 93, of Nowata passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. She was born on November 11, 1919 in Nowata to Hiram and Susan (Ragsdale) Conner. Mary was educated in Delaware, Oklahoma. On August 2, 1937 she married Harry "Jake" Gingerich on August 2, 1937. She worked for Turner Meats, and Landers Grocery Meat Dept. for many years here in Nowata. Mary was a member of the First Church of God, of Nowata. She enjoyed working in the garden and canning. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family and the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren was special to her. Mary was a wonderful person that will be missed by all who knew her. Mary is survived by a son, Leo L. Gingerich and wife Joleen of Nowata; a daughter in law, Sue Gingerich of Bartlesville; seven grandchildren, Greg Gingerich, Deanna Maynard, Sabrina Bruner, Natasha Kime, Shawn Hunt, Tina Cichon, Jay Gingerich, eighteen great grandchildren, and eight great, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry "Jake" Gingerich; two children, Phillip R. Gingerich and Susie Earlene Hunt; six siblings, Albert Conner, Leo Conner, Earl Conner, Elizabeth Wright, two infant sisters and a grandson, James Bradley Gingerich.
