Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma Graveside funeral services for Marilyn Sue Weaver, 73 year old Wann, Oklahoma resident will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at the Weaver Family Cemetery in Wann. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata. Marilyn Sue Weaver passed away November 21, 2014, at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born in Niotaze, Kansas, to George and Mary Elizabeth Frye on July 29, 1941. She attended Coffeyville Schools and on May 3, 1974 she married Donald Weaver in Bartlesville. Marilyn had many household hobbies which included cooking, sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She enjoyed canning the vegetables they grew in the garden and could make jam out of anything. The girls remember when she canned over 800 quarts of garden items one year. She would always cook a feast for her family to enjoy. Marilyn loved her pets and took great care of them. When she and Don were younger they enjoyed traveling and seeing the country. Above all, was her love for her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. They held a special place in her heart and they will remember her forever. Preceding Mrs. Weaver in death are her parents, George and Mary Frye, her Husband Donald Weaver, and siblings Tommy, Bud, Alvin, Johnny, George, and Don Frye, Phyllis Queener, and Marion Drietzler. Mrs. Weaver is survived by her daughters Christie Mayfield and husband Jeff, of Wann, Oklahoma, Jamie Rogers and husband Michael, of Lenapah, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Preston , Madison, and Kailyn Rogers, of Lenapah, a brother James Frye of Lenapah, a sister, Shirley Shelton, of Coffeyville, Kansas, many other relatives and a host of friends.
