Mabron Haff

March 5, 1917 — June 4, 2006

Mabron Haff Vinita resident passed away at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, OK on Sunday, June 4, 2006 after a brief illness. Born in Ketchum, OK on March 5, 1917 to Eber "Jake" and Lennie (Sloan) Haff. He married Ruby Thompson on June 1, 1937. As a young man he went to work at a C.C. Camp in California to support his family. Later he discovered his passion for truck driving in which he drove several years for Elliott Truck Line as well as working for the City of Vinita, as well as other places of employment. Mr. Haff is preceded in death by his wife Ruby Haff, one daughter Shirley Hendren, his father Eber "Jake" Haff, his mother Lennie Haff his stepmother Gertrude Haff, one sister Kathryn Chapin, one brother Lloyd Haff, one great-granddaughter, Rachel McClellan. Survivors include on daughter Sue Cotrill of Vinita, Brothers Gene "Jr. " Haff, Herman Haff, Ted Haff, and one sister Mary Lou Kimberlin, two granddaughters, Leonna Cotrill of Vinita, Stephanie Deacon and her husband Walter, of Welch, three grandsons, Kevin Dean and his wife Sonya of Vinita, Monte Dean of Kansas City, MO and Ross Hendren of Stillwater, OK, five great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild, along with numerous other friends and relatives. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita with Reverend Alvin H.G. Patterson of the Empire Mission Church in Galena, Kansas. Casketbearers will be Ralph Kinsley, Roy Woolman, Jack Melton, Eugene Jinks, Sr., Kelly Herman and Jim Shelton. Services are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, OK.
