Louise Bowie

Louise Bowie, age 87 of Vinita, died Saturday, April 7, 2012. Louise was born in Estella, OK on June 25, 1924 to William "Bid" Lay and Lela (Calvert) Lay. She was united in marriage to Johnny Bowie on September 26, 1940. Louise enjoyed cooking, quilting, fishing, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her children: Donna Wofford of Vinita, Mickey Hayes and husband Jim of Tulsa, Linda Kammerzell and husband Sid of Oologah, Wayne Bowie and wife Donna of Vinita, Larry Bowie and wife Susan of Highland Village, TX, sisters Wanda Walker of Vinita, Wilma Huff of Cleveland, OK, Laverne Walker of Vinita, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Lela Lay, husband Johnny Bowie, daughter Jimona Bowie, grandson Lark Bowie, son-in-law Jack Wofford, and siblings: Fern Wayman, Marie Summers, and Jim Lay. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 7-8 p.m. at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Church of God.
