Luginbuel Funeral Home - Vinita - 918-256-5555...... Lou Ella Cole, 80 year old Cleora resident, passed away at her home on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. She was born on June 14, 1936 in Scranton, Arkansas to Hayden John and Carrie Elsie Henderson. Lou Ella graduated from Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa. On June 2, 1955 she married Charles Edward "Tim" Cole in Oakhurst, Oklahoma, they recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. Lou Ella retired from the City of Tulsa, where she worked as the Parks and Recreation Department secretary for 11 years. She had also worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Oklahoma, Oral Roberts University and Abest Supply. Lou Ella and Charles had made their home on Grand Lake for the past 23 years. In her retirement she was very busy doing genealogy, volunteering at the Grove Library many hours, working on family trees. Lou Ella also enjoyed sewing and making crafts and was a member of the Best Mom's Club. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Tulsa. Preceding her in death were her parents, and a brother, Jesse Wayne Henderson. The family includes: her husband Charles "Tim" Cole of the home; her daughter, Deb Smith of Tulsa; a son, Don Cole and wife Sue Ann of Aledo, Texas; a brother, Jord C. Henderson of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Burton Smith and wife Jessica, Sean Smith, Whitney Cole, Megan Stoub and husband Eric, Caitlin Bottom and husband Kyle; great-grandchildren, Ella and Jaxon Smith, Keenan and Waylon Smith and Ashlynn Stoub. The family will receive friends from 3-5 PM Sunday August 7, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita. The celebration of life service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Point United Methodist Church in Cleora, with Pastor Tom Hodges and Stephen Nation officiating. Interment will follow at the McLaughlin Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
