Peewee (Lorraine Mary Jane) Glass was born on November 2, 1945 in Highland Park, Michigan to Leslie Vern and Dorothy Glass. Peewee started life as a very special person and on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 she has gone home to the heaven above. Peewee grew up in Apperson, Oklahoma. Like Mama, she always saw the brighter side of life in the world around her. Peewee joined the Home of Hope family on July 6, 1993 after losing her mom. Like the "flies at the picnic" (family memory) Peewee saw the joy of a flat tire and an empty gas tank on a hot, July road and thrilled at telling the story. She giggled heartily at her little pranks that she thought were so much fun for everybody. Time didn't matter to Peewee even though wearing tons of watches did. We all know how many of those we've gone through!! And not to forget the many Wal-Mart trips to buy another purse for hiding her candy in. Peewee knew no strangers and loved people, always quick to introduce herself with extended hand saying "I Peewee Gass"! 'GOT COMP'NY' was a favorite expression for Peewee when anyone came to the door. Perhaps God had Peewee in mind when he implanted the word 'ornery' in mankind's vocabulary. She was that in a very positive and cunning way. God grants us gifts in our lifetimes and without a single doubt Peewee was a gift sent down from heaven to teach us a special meaning of love. Survivors include: a sister of Ponca City, Oklahoma: Wanda and Robert Taglialatela, a sister of Monkey Island, Oklahoma: Jan and Earl Stanton, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and an older brother, Leslie Glass, Jr. Memorial contributions may be sent to Home of Hope, P.O. Box 903, Vinita, Ok. 74301 or Trinity Hospice, 618 W. Will Rogers Blvd, Claremore, Ok. 74107-6825. Forget her? 'Never' Miss her? 'Always' "The family wishes to extend their sincerest appreciation to the Home of Hope for their years of loving devotion to Peewee".
