Lloyd Mitchell

Lloyd Keith Mitchell, Seventy five year old Langley resident passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 22, 2006. He was born on January 18, 1931 in Strang, OK to Walter and Vera (Elliott) Mitchell. He attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College that is where he met his wife of fifty-six years LaVerne Simpson they were married on December 21, 1950 in Pawhuska, OK. Lloyd earned a bachelors degree from the University of Oklahoma then went to work as a sales rep for Union Carbide Corp. He retired in January of 1991. Mr. Mitchell is a Cherokee Indian and attended the Christian Church. His parents Walter and Vera Mitchell preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife LaVerne Mitchell of the home, his son Sam Keith Mitchell and his wife Terri Lynne, his daughter Natha Ann Waldbaum and her husband John, three grandsons Adam Waldbaum, Jared Waldbaum and Matthew Waldbaum, a granddaughter Cheyenne Mitchell along with his sister Margaret Henson. Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Spavinaw Strang Cemetery. Interment is under the direction of the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley, OK.
