Lillie Ellen White was born August 25, 1939 in Vinita Oklahoma as Lillie Ellen Deitrick. One of four children to parents, Loil and Rachel. Lillie, is survived by a husband of 62 years: Vernon, and a sister: Sue. She was a childhood sweetheart - eventual wife, and natural mother of three children, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was, as described from the perspective of her grandchildren, “A wonderful grandma, mother, aunt, sister and friend, the sassiest lady who I loved laughing with”, and as “A classic and timeless woman who loved her family and Jesus more than anything”. She was always a caring listener. Her cooking was unmatched. She loved playing games, painting, sewing, nature, gardening, canning and hiking. She was a selfless woman with a love of life, and people. Lillie was a tireless over-achiever that set an example for the best to follow. She had a compassionate spirit. She was one, who: will always be: “remembered and cherished”, by all who loved her. “Mom”, perhaps best described, as the virtuous woman characterized in the Holy Bible in Proverbs 31. She was intelligent and wise, and she worked hard to save and store. Lillie completed High School and a graduate of Draughan’s School of Business. She worked in the field of banking as a teller and eventually assistant cashier until she retired. She then worked ten years as a volunteer at St John’s Hospital in Owasso and as a member of her church family. Her life glorified God, and enriched the lives of others. She was a devoted wife, a mentor to many, dearly loved and to be severely missed.
