Levi Tanner

Levi "Ned" Tanner, passed away at his home in Jay, OK on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the age of 64. Ned was born on March 25, 1949 in Eucha, OK, the son of the late Buck Tanner and Mary Jane (Buck) Tanner. Ned went to school in Eucha. After school he worked by cutting wood, mowing, painting houses, and other various jobs throughout his life. Ned enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, gigging crawdads, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Jimmy Tanner, Sammy Tanner, Eli Tanner, and Richard Stick; sisters: Betty Wofford Tanner and Melissa Tanner; and one nephew Russell Tanner. He is survived by his brothers: Bobby Tanner and his wife Patty, David Tanner, Alan Tanner, James Tanner all of Jay, OK; sister Mary Hamilton and her friend Burl Landcaster of Jay, OK; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at the Round Springs Baptist Church in Eucha, OK on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 2PM with Rev. Stanley Grass and Rev. Eric Creekkiller, presiding. The burial will follow at the Round Spring Cemetery in Eucha, OK. The family will greet friends on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 6PM to 8PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK. Friends and family may leave notes of encouragement by viewing Levi's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com. Casket bearers will be Matthew Brock, Jason Mouse, Phillip Gordon, Jerry Hamilton, Argyle Sharp, and Steve Cornshucker. Honorary casket bearers will be the Nephews
