Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261 Lawrence "Larry" Thomas Lantz, 61 year old Afton, OK, resident passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at his home. Larry was born on March 14, 1954, to Francis and Marjorie (Sullivan) Lantz. He received a business degree from Oklahoma State University and a doctorate from Northeastern State University in 1984. Larry married Lisa Kaye (Leland) on November 17, 1996. He was an optometrist in Grove for many years. Larry had a passion for what he did and his patients. He had a knack for figuring out complex eye-related medical problems, and always aimed to help his patients rather than just make a profit. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and made many trips on his Harley. Larry loved to fix things and was quite the handyman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Marjorie Lantz, and his daughter, Amey Mason. Larry is survived by his wife Lisa Lantz of the home; two sons, Eric Lantz and wife Emilee of Claremore, OK, and Mitch Lantz of Grove, OK; one daughter , Ashley Cable and husband Steve of O'Fallon, IL; one brother, Alan Lantz and wife Cindy of Shawnee, OK; three sisters, Jeri Walker of Edmond, OK, Kathy Climer and husband Dan of Shawnee, OK, and Patti Phillips and husband Rob of Oklahoma City, OK; two grandchildren, Abby and Lucy and one on the way. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 10:00 am at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee, OK.
