Lacy Beamer

Lacy Lee Beamer, passed away in Grove, OK, on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the age of 54. Lacy was born January 9, 1959 in Claremore, OK, the son of Will Rogers Beamer and Louise Pickup Adams. Lacy grew up in Jay, OK where he graduated from Jay High School in the late 1970's. After high school Lacy moved to Pottsboro, TX where he worked in the ground maintenance crew at the Tanglewood Resort. After working several years at the resort, Lacy moved back to Delaware County where he worked various jobs until his death. He loved the outdoors and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father Will Rogers Beamer; and two brothers: Roy Lee Beamer and Griffith Elroy Beamer. He is survived by his mother Louise Adams of Grove, OK; daughter Kerrie Fox of Jay, OK; son Mark Beamer of Jay, OK; step-daughter Tara O'Field of Jay, OK; two sisters Willmenia Shelton and Sonya Hogshooter both of Grove, OK; brother Gregory Allen Beamer of Grove, OK; three grandchildren: Brett O'Field, Gracie Fox, and Kainey Scallorn; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, OK on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 2PM with Rev. Johnny Wayne Summerfield, presiding. The burial will follow at the O'Field Cemetery in Jay, OK. The family will greet friends from 6PM to 8PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK on Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK. Friends and family may leave notes of encouragement by viewing Lacy's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com. Casket bearers will be Manuel Trujillo, Bill White, Grant Johnson, Billy Fox, Tommy Dameron, and James Shambles.
