Krista Summerfield

Krista Marie (Davis) Summerfield, 37 year old, Jay, Oklahoma resident passed away on February 12, 2013 in a car accident on Highway 59 outside of Jay, Oklahoma while going to school in Little Kansas. Krista was born on August 3, 1975 in Payson Illinois. She attended school at Quincy High School. She later moved to Zena, Oklahoma with her family. She helped work on Kelley Chicken Farm while getting her associates degree from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in animal science. Krista has been a C.N.A. for the last 17 years and her latest job was for Betty Ann Nursing Center in Grove, Oklahoma. She was also currently working on her L.P.N. degree at Northeastern Technology Center in Kansas, Oklahoma. On March 2, 2001 Krista married Nathaniel Summerfield. Krista enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at the creek or camping. She enjoyed music and going to concerts as well as shopping and yard sales. Her friends and family described her as outgoing, smart and beautiful, and loving and caring. Krista loved her friends and family and having fun, and lived life to the fullest. Krista was preceded in death by a brother Lee Charles Davis of Zena, Oklahoma, and a grandfather Lelen Estle Davis of Quincy, Illinois. Krista is survived by her husband Nathaniel, of the home, three children, Samantha Summefield, Marcus Summerfield and Shayla Marie Summerfield, also of the home, mother, Nancy Keene and husband Tommy, of Vinita, Oklahoma, father, John Lee Davis, of Quincy, Illinois, a brother, Matt Davis, grandmother, Adela D. Davis of Quincy, Illinois, and grandmother Helen Sweeney of Salina, Kansas. Krista is also survived by a mother in law, Betsy Ruiz, three brothers in law, Richard Summerfield, Bobby Joe Summerfield and Josh Summerfield. Funeral services for Krista will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the First Assembly of God in Jay, Oklahoma. A visitation for Krista will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday February 18, 2013 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral home in Jay, Oklahoma.
