On November 14, 2020, Kirk E. Land headed out on his final journey into the afterlife. He was born January 11, 1947 to C.K. and Lois Land at Camp Pendleton, California. He grew up and graduated from McCauley Regional High School in Joplin, MO. He later met Janet and married her on November 17, 1973. As time went on, he welcomed two bright, ornery girls into his happy home who made sure that life was never dull and boring again. After they grew up, he and Jan worked and lived in Amarillo and Omaha until retirement. When the time finally came to retire, they returned to Oklahoma to be closer to family.
Kirk enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on cars, listening to music, and fishing. He was a wealth of knowledge that will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Janet, his brother Keith Land and wife Susan of Troy, Missouri, daughter Michelle Biby and husband Stony of Tulsa, OK, daughter Susan Moore and husband Brian of Allen, Texas and their two ornery sons, and four step-brothers.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Kirk to Project Purple, https://www.projectpurple.org/ to find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer.
