Kenny Stevens

Kenny Stevens, 28, a resident of Vinita passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2006 in Joplin, MO at Freeman Hospital. Kenny was born on August 19, 1977 to Corby and Judith (Brown) Stevens in Claremore, OK. He married his wife Christi (Smith) on November 7, 1998 in Claremore. Mr. Stevens worked for Daylight Donuts as a Truck driver for the last three years. In the truck-driving world he was known as Taco Bender. He loved to play the guitar and write songs some of which were about his profession. The thing that brought him the most enjoyment in life was his six-year-old daughter Laney. Kenny was known to be very active he like to fish, off road, go to the drag races, golfing, boating and his motorcycle. Survivors include his wife Christi and daughter Laney Stevens both of the home. His parents Corby and Judith Stevens of Idaho. Two sisters Janet Burrell and her husband Toby of IL, their son George, Darla Busby and her husband Clint of Chelsea and their children Paula, Ty and Lil Clint, a brother Randall Stevens and his wife Theresa of Idaho and their children Michael, Becca. Brother-in-laws G-II and Pam Smith of Vinita and their children Brittany, Gregory, Alexis and Melissa, Gary and Allison Smith of Afton and their children Carson and Taylor, Josh and Megan Huffman of Big Cabin, their children Katie and Emma, Caleb and Jamie Huffman of Vinita and their son Heath, Caanan and Heather Huffman of Vinita and their daughter Aubrey, Beeper and Lindsey Huffman of Vinita, Father and Mother-in-law Grover and Kim Smith of Vinita and a dear cousin Penny Trammel along with numerous Aunts, uncles and other relatives. Funeral Services will be on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 1:30 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Vinita with Minister Marty Compton officiating. Interment will follow in the Spavinaw Cemetery in Spavinaw, OK under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Casketbearers will be G-II Smith, Gary Smith, Jared Smith, Lil Clint Busby, Clint Busby and George Burrell. Honorary Casketbearers will be Dale Smith, Ty Bushy, Nathan Horn, Chad Haynes, and Toby Burrell. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita.
