Kathleen Roberts

Kathleen Roberts, lifetime Spavinaw resident, Kathleen (Goins) Roberts, died Monday August 25, 2008 at Rosewood Terrace in Vinita, OK. Kathleen was born January 26, 1930 to W.F. (Bully) and Dulsa Goins. She married Preston Roberts in December of 1947. Kathleen loved the outdoors and loved her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Strang for numerous years. She enjoyed traveling, animals and her cats and was also a Yankee's fan and enjoyed watching her first cousin, Mickey Mantle, play baseball on T.V. where no talking was allowed while he was at bat. Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 41 years, and sister Patsy Marie Wilson. She is survived by her son Preston Lynn Roberts of Spavinaw, daughters Helen Marie Page and husband Bruce of the Rockcreek area, and Kay Ann Rose of Spavinaw, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her aunt Mable Hawthorn of Langley, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation was held at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley, OK on August 26, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services was held at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday August 27, 2008 with Pastor Danny Tugmon officiating.
