Johnnye Presnell

Johnnye Faye (Bradshaw) Presnell passed away on Friday, August 24, 2012. Johnnye Faye Bradshaw was born July 18, 1925, at the family home in Shidler, OK, the daughter of the late Dewey G. and Leta F. (Wiley) Bradshaw. Johnnye grew up and received her education in Shidler, OK. On June 28, 1946, she was united in marriage to Jack H. Presnell in Borger, TX, where the couple established their first home. Johnnye worked and volunteered countless hours at various organizations over the years, however, her first love was being a wonderful and faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother and dear friend, enjoying any activities involving her beloved friends and family. Johnnye was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville. As well, she was a very faithful partner to the Baptist Children's Home, especially the Owasso, OK campus. Johnnye enjoyed: handwork, including cross stitching and sewing. She also enjoyed: reading, traveling, piecing together jigsaw puzzles, and was an avid bridge player all her life. Johnnye was preceded in death by: her parents; a daughter, Amy Ruth Presnell and a grandson, Jeremy Blake. She is survived by: her husband, Jack H. Presnell; daughter, Peggy (Presnell) Brewster and her husband, Karl; daughter, Janice Presnell; grandchildren: Kris Bailey and his wife, Lisa; Jodi Moehring and her husband, Mark; Jeffrey Cox and his wife, Megan; and Timothy Cox; nine great grandchildren; a sister, Billye Burman; a brother, Jack Bradshaw; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Memorial services to honor Johnnye will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children; 12700 E. 76th Street North; Owasso, OK 74055.
